Last night I met Roger Ebert at a book signing at Anderson’s Bookstore in Naperville. Emma and Mary came along and we had a really nice time. Roger Ebert’s writing has always impressed me and I was happy to buy his memoir and to be able to have him personally sign it. If you are not familiar with Roger Ebert, I suggest you take the time to read some of his work. He publishes a great blog which touches on many different topics, and at the very least features Roger’s gift with words. Ebert illustrates that you don’t need to be able to speak to still have a voice.
On a side note, I really enjoyed the Anderson’s Bookstore in Naperville. It reminded me of the time I spent at Anderson’s Bookstore in Elmhurst when I was young. It is nice to see a small family bookstore still out there thriving.
